The columns show maximum and minimum temperature in Celsius, rainfall during last 24 hours (trace) and total rainfall in mm since October 1, 2006. Isolated rain over T.N. CHENNAI: Rainfall occurred at a few places over coastal Karnataka and Kerala. Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu, interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Lakshadweep. Mainly dry weather prevailed over Telangana. The chief amounts of rainfall recorded in centimetres are: Karwar 5, Barur (Krishnagiri dt) and Shirali 4 each, Bhavanisagar (Erode dt) and Panambur 3 each, Mangalore and Madikeri 2 each and Aluva (Ernakulam dt), Kollam, Honavar, Kiravatti (Uttara Kannada dt), Mulki (Dakshina Kannada dt) and Agumbe 1 each. On Tuesday, the maximum temperature rose appreciably at one or two places over Telangana north interior Karnataka, coastal Karnataka rose at one or two places over Rayalaseema, south coastal Andhra Pradesh, fell at one or two places over rest south coastal Andhra Pradesh and changed little elsewhere over the region. They were appreciably above normal at a few places over coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, at one or two places over Rayalaseema, above normal at most places over Kerala, at a few places rest Tamil Nadu, at one or two places over rest Rayalaseema. Appreciably below normal at one or two places over coastal Karnataka, below normal at a few places over north interior Karnataka, at one or two places over Telangana, rest coastal Karnataka and generally normal over the rest of the region. Madurai airport recorded the highest maximum temperature of 37 degree Celsius in the region. The minimum temperature rose appreciably at one or two places over coastal Tamil Nadu, rose at a places over Rayalaseema, at one or two places over interior Tamil Nadu and changed little elsewhere over the region.Arogyavaram recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 21 degree Celsius in the plains of the region.
