Chandigarh: Sixty-four dengue cases have been reported in Punjab, Health Minister Surinder Singla said on Wednesday. ``Of the 64 confirmed cases of dengue, 58 patients have been admitted to various civil hospitals,'' Mr. Singla told PTI here, adding no death due to the disease has been reported in the State. Civil Medical Officers (CMOs) had been directed to remain vigilant to trace the suspected cases of dengue at the earliest, he said and asked the public not to panic. He said that most of the cases were from Ludhiana district followed by Amritsar and Ropar. Twenty-five suspected dengue cases have been admitted at the Post Graduate Institute for Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) here, officials said. ``Six cases of them have been confirmed as positive cases. Four have been admitted in children ward and two in male ward,'' officials said. PTI .
