Dow Jones at new high

NEW YORK: The Dow Jones industrial average soared to a record high on Tuesday, finally surpassing the previous peak reached at the height of the technology bubble. The Dow rose 56.99 points to close at 11,727.34, just above the previous record of 11,722.98 on January 14, 2000.
