Indian juniors for World meet

VIJAYAWADA: A 13-member Indian badminton team will leave for Incheon, South Korea, to participate in the junior world championship from November 2 to 7, Badminton Association of India joint secretary K. Ch. Punnaiah Choudary announced here on Wednesday.

BAI has also selected the team to participate in the ABC regional championship to be held in Colombo from October 28. The teams will undergo a camp in Kochi, which will conclude on October 26.

World championship: Boys: Jishnu Sanyal (AI), S. Nandluri (AP), Guru Sai Dutt (AP), K. Tarun (AP), Akshay Diwalkar (AI), Rati Kanta Saha (WB). Reserves: Aditya Elongo (TN), Arun Nandluri (AP). Girls: Saina Nehwal (PSPB), Arundhati Pantwani (Mah), Ashwini Ponappa (Ktk), S. Nitya (Ktk). Reserve: Ruth Misha (Ktk). ABC championship: Boys: Saurabh Verma (MP), M. Prasanth (AP), Raj Kumar (Pun), Sumith Reddy (AP). Reserve: Sai Praneeth (AP). Girls: N. Sikki Reddy (AP), P.C. Tulasi (Ker), Vaishali Baria (Guj), Prajekta Sawant (Mah).
