Train services extended to clear rush

BANGALORE: South Western Railway has extended the services of the following special trains for two months to clear the extra rush during the festival season:

Bangalore City-Ernakulam Special (0637) will leave Bangalore city at 5.15 p.m. on Fridays and reach Ernakulam at 4.30 a.m. the next day, according to a press release.

Ernakulam-Bangalore City Special (0638) will leave Ernakulam Jn at 5 p.m. on Saturdays and reach Bangalore City at 4.20 a.m. the next day.

The first service from Bangalore City will start from October 6 and the last service will be on November 24.

The first service from Ernakulam will start from October 7 and the last service will be on November 25.

The train will run from Bangalore City via Bangalore Cantonment, Krishnarajapuram, Bangarpet, Tirupattur, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Podanur, Palghat, Ottapalam, Trichur and Alwaye.

Bangalore City-Madurai-Nagercoil Weekly Special (0647) will leave Bangalore City at 5.45 p.m. on Sundays and reach Madurai at 6.30 a.m. and leave Madurai at 6.35 a.m. and reach Nagercoil at 10.45 a.m. on Mondays. Nagercoil-Madurai-Bangalore City Summer Special (0648) will leave Nagercoil on Mondays at 3.30 p.m. and reach Madurai at 8.20 p.m. and leave Madurai at 8.30 p.m. and reach Bangalore City at 9 a.m. on Tuesdays.

Bangalore City-Chennai Special (0684) will leave Bangalore City at 9.30 p.m. on Fridays and reach Chennai at 3.55 a.m. the next day.

Chennai-Bangalore City Special (0683) will leave Chennai at 11.30 p.m. on Saturdays and reach Bangalore City at 5.55 a.m. the next day.

The first service from Bangalore City will start on October 6 and the last service will be on November 24.

The first service from Chennai will start from October 7 and the last service will be on November 25.

The train will run from Bangalore City via Bangalore Cantonment, Krishnarajapuram, Whitefield, Bangarpet, Jolarpettai, Ambur, Katpadi, Arakkonam, Perambur and reach Chennai.

Hubli-Yesvantpur-Kochuveli Weekly Special (0671) will leave Hubli at 1.45 p.m. on Tuesdays and reach Yesvantpur at 9 p.m. and leave Yeshwanthpur at 9.30 p.m. to reach Kochuveli at 4.30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Kochuveli-Yesvantpur-Hubli Weekly Special (0672) will leave Kochuveli at 12.45 p.m. on Thursdays and reach Yesvantpur at 7.25 a.m. and leave Yesvantpur at 7.45 a.m. on Fridays to reach Hubli at 4.40 p.m. the same day.

The train will run from Hubli via Haveri, Ranibennur, Harihar, Davangere, Birur, Arsikere, Tiptur, Tumkur, Yesvantpur, Banaswadi, Hosur, Dharmapuri, Salem, Erode, Podanur, Palghat, Ottapalam, Trichur, Alwaye, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Chenganaserri, Tiruvalla, Chengannur, Mavelikara, Kayankulam, Quilon and Varkala.
