A directory of doctors in Malappuram district and allopathy hospitals in Kozhikode city has hit the stands. The directory brought out by Star Communications was released at the Malappuram Press Club on Thursday. The directory, priced at Rs.30, comes as a valuable supplement to the one brought out two years ago. The directory provides the details with contact numbers of most of the doctors from streams such as allopathy, homoeopathy, Ayurveda and veterinary. The directory comprises four sections. The first one deals with doctors from the coastal belt in Malappuram. Their telephone codes begin with 0494. The second section is devoted to doctors in Malappuram, Manjeri, Kondotty and Areekode areas with the telephone code reading 0483. The doctors in Perinthalmanna and neighbouring areas, falling under the telephone code 04933, are featured in the third section of the directory. The last one has a list of doctors in the Nilambur belt with the telephone code reading 04931. Koormanthara Mohanraj, managing partner, Star Communications, says they will bring out similar directories for Ernakulam, Thrissur and Kozhikode districts.
