BANGALORE: TI Cycles of India, one of the largest bicycle manufacturers, on Thursday announced its foray into the fitness equipment market with the national launch of BSA workouts range of cardio and strength equipment. These will be available through the seven BSA Go outlets in different cities, starting with Bangalore. TI Cycles President, G. Ramprasad, told presspersons here that a full range of fitness equipment, imported from Taiwan, would be available in 20 cities by March 2007. The company, he said, was looking at the domestic market said to be worth around Rs. 300 crore. The home segment is growing at 30 per cent annually and the company was aiming at a turnover of Rs. 50 crore in the next three years. The BSA workouts range includes Exerciser Cycles, Recumbent Bike, Elliptical Trainer, Motorised Treadmill and the Home Gym. Former Test cricketer W. V. Raman launched the fitness equipment here. The company launched a portal www.ticyclesindia.com/bsaworkouts to help customers in tracking their fitness levels, besides providing information on products and services.
