Orient Paper plans rights issue

KOLKATA: Orient Paper & Industries, a GP-CK Birla group company, is planning a rights issue to raise up to Rs. 175 crore to part-fund its projects in Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra, company sources said. Talking to The Hindu after its board meeting in New Delhi, company sources said the amount raised would be used to pay off some of the high cost debt. The board also approved some modifications in its capital investment plans.
