Action plan for survivors of gas tragedy

Madhya Pradesh Government gives commitment

NEW DELHI : Madhya Pradesh will chalk out an action plan in the next two months for providing drinking water, adequate healthcare, and economic and environmental rehabilitation to survivors of the Bhopal gas tragedy.

This commitment was made by the Madhya Pradesh Government at the second Bhopal Coordination Committee meeting held here on Thursday. The action plan will be for providing water to the communities, where the groundwater was affected by the Union Carbide's chemical waste, adequate healthcare, economic rehabilitation and income generation and environmental rehabilitation, according to Satinath Sarangi of the Bhopal Group for Information and Action.
