Bangalore: EFI (Electronics for Imaging), which is into digital controllers and print management solutions, has signed an agreement to acquire privately held Jetrion, a subsidiary of Flint Group Incorporated, for approximately U.S. $40 million in cash. Jetrion is a leading manufacturer of inkjet printers, inks and custom printing systems for the label and packaging industries. EFI expects the transaction to be completed by the year-end. The acquisition is expected to add between $3 million and $5 million in revenues to EFI's fourth quarter results. For the full year, Jetrion is expected to post revenues of over $16 million. Jetrion is headquartered in Michigan.
Perot ranked top BPO
The International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP) has ranked Perot Systems Corporation as one of the top "business process outsourcing (BPO) providers" in the world. The ranking is a sub-list of The Global Outsourcing 100 and was announced recently. "This award underscores Perot Systems' emergence as a major player in the global business process outsourcing industry during the past two years," said Anurag Jain, Perot Systems vice-president and head of the company's global business process solutions unit.
Xerox's new service
Xerox India Ltd. has launched Document Outsourcing and Communication Services (DOCS), a new consulting service from its Xerox Global Services (XGS) division. DOCS is aimed at optimising costs from document design and composition to production and distribution. The six sub-set offerings include adviser services, assessment and consulting; creative services; customer communication services; document production and publishing services; and mail and fulfilment services.
Trianz vice-president
Trianz has appointed K.S. Rajaram as vice-president of Product Engineering Services. Prior to joining Trianz, Mr. Rajaram was with Wipro where he was the general manager for developing test solutions and frameworks for wireless testing.
