More dengue cases in Uttaranchal

Staff Correspondent

DEHRA DUN: The number of suspected dengue patients at the Sushila Tiwari Medical College in Haldwani has gone up to 10 while three persons have been admitted to hospitals in Rishikesh with high fever and other dengue symptoms during the past 24 hours. "The blood samples of these patients have been sent to the National Institute of Communicable Diseases in Delhi and they are being given proper medical attention," said a State Health Directorate spokesman here.

Meanwhile, the Government has directed the District Magistrates to ensure fogging of waterlogged areas and immediate removal of garbage from public places and localities to keep the mosquitoes under check.

All offices, commercial and educational institutions have been told to ensure that there is no stagnant water on their campuses.
