KARIMNAGAR: Come Ramzan, it is time for Iftar parties. Taking advantage of the festival season, political parties are leaving no stone unturned to woo Muslim voters for the ensuing byelection for Karimangar. Close on the heels of district Telugu Desam Party organising an Iftar party at TNGO's function hall in Karimnagar town on Wednesday, which was attended by TDP leaders T. Devender Goud, K. Srihari, E. Dayakar Rao, Yusuf Ali, Peddi Reddy, L. Ramana and G. Nalini, the district Congress committee minorities cell organised an Iftar party in the sprawling Circus grounds in the town on Thursday evening.
Hosting parties
APCC president K. Kesava Rao, Minister for Minorities Md. Fariduddin, Minister for Sports M. Satyanarayana Rao, Government Whip D. Sridhar, DCC president T. Santosh Kumar, the local party leaders and DCC Minorities wing leaders participated in the Iftar party. On the other hand, the TRS leaders are also planning to host an Iftar party. TRS president K. Chandrashekhar Rao and other TRS leaders are planning to visit Karimnagar town to participate in the party tentatively on October 11, party sources said.
