Keeping fans guessing

Giving her fans breathless minutes full of uncertainty seems to be something tennis star Sania Mirza is specialising in these days. One exciting victory a day, a shocking defeat the next day and then, almost like a phoenix, rising again, only to go down silently - Ms. Mirza's performance graph could be full of ups and downs in the last few weeks.

The flamboyant Hyderabadi advanced to the Sunfeast Open semi-finals with some stirring wins, only to be blown away by top-seed Martina Hingis. However, Ms. Mirza extracted sweet revenge by defeating Hingis in the second round of the Korea Open.

The euphoria was however short-lived as she lost in the quarterfinals.

Now, Mirza has made a winning start in the Tashkent Open, trouncing her opponent in flat 48 minutes.

What next?
