HYDERABAD: A youngster's attempt to pacify three persons fighting over sharing stolen copper wire on Wednesday, led to the murder of his father and injuries to his aunt, when the trio attacked them at L.B. Nagar on Thursday. The victim B. Sunkanna, 48, a rag picker was attacked by a group with sickles, near his house at Nandanavanam Colony. They also attacked his sister Kondamma, 38, who tried to rescue Sunkanna. The attackers Chiranjeevi, Ramanjaneyulu and Sanjeeva and their aides, all rag pickers fled after Sunkanna collapsed, L.B. Nagar Inspector V. Surender Reddy said. According to the Inspector, a resident of the colony whose name also was Sunkanna had recently stolen copper wire. "We're not yet sure how the three accused are connected to the theft but they had a fight with Sunkanna over sharing it on Wednesday," he said. When Laxman, son of Sunkanna, intervened, they slapped him. Based on Laxman's complaint, the L.B. Nagar police registered a case against the four persons. On Thursday, they killed Sunkanna angered over the complaint, the police said.
