Shops, hotels to be open through night

The Government has permitted all licensed shops, hotels and restaurants in the old city of Hyderabad and Muslim-dominated areas elsewhere to be open throughout the night during Ramzan.Unlicensed shops like tea bunks, pushcarts and hawkers have been permitted to do business till 12 in the midnight. The announced was made on Wednesday by Home Minister K. Jana Reddy.

Free training in linear editing

The Government Institute of Electronics, Secunderabad, is offering a month-long free self-employment training programme in linear editing under Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP) from October 11 for unemployed youth. Classes will be conducted on the institute premises at East Marredpally, Secunderabad, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., said a press release. Last date for registration is October 7 and further information can be had over phone number: 9290097585.
