Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI: Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit has announced that senior citizens in the Capital will get free travel facility in city buses. She also said that the senior citizens would soon be given identity cards and that recreation centres for elders would be set up in all 70 Delhi Assembly segments.

Speaking at a workshop organised by the Department of Social Welfare to commemorate International Elders' Day, Ms. Dikshit called upon the young people to consult the seniors and benefit from their rich experience and also exhorted them to extend due honour to the senior citizens.
