HYDERABAD: Former Union Minister Ch.Vidyasagar Rao has urged Telangana Rashtra Samiti to support BJP in the byelection to Karimnagar Lok Sabha seat as a token of gratitude and to strengthen the movement. Talking to reporters here on Friday, he said it was unfortunate that the byelection was thrust on the people on flimsy grounds due to mutual recriminations of TRS and Congress leaders. Mr.Rao, who was named as the candidate by State BJP unit, said that it was the bounden duty of TRS to support BJP. He claimed that when TRS popularity had declined, the State BJP had requested the Central party to take a decision in favour of Telangana State. Not only did the Central party do so but BJP president Rajnath Singh had declared that BJP would insist on support to the Telangana cause before joining any possible coalition after the next elections.
