City student on way to `superstardom'

HYDERABAD:
The residence of class V student G. Pranati at Uppal wore a festive look on Friday night after she won the music and dance competition "Rin Mera Star Superstar" aired on Star Plus every Friday.
The contest was between Pranati, Sarath Santosh and Nihal all hailing from Hyderabad.
The nine-year-old girl will now contest in the semi-finals.
"I am so excited. Though it was a tough competition, my daughter emerged victorious," the girl's mother Sumitra said. According to Sumitra, Pranati had been taking classical dance lessons for five years.
She also won Bala Ratna award announced by Jawahar Bal Bhavan in the city.
