HYDERABAD: The Institute of Mental Health (IMH) at Erragadda has opened a counselling centre on mental disorders on its premises. The centre, which functions from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on all working days, offers help to those suffering from mental disorders, including depression and anxiety and also to their relatives. Those interested have to register themselves between 8.30 and 10.30 a.m. at IMH's Room No.13. According to K. Ashok Reddy of the institute, the IMH is planning to launch a toll-free helpline on suicide prevention.
IMH exhibition
The IMH is organising a week-long mental health exhibition on its premises. Open for the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. every day except Sundays and public holidays, the exhibition features information on mental disorders, identifying each of them and the steps to be taken by family members to prevent and treat such disorders. The exhibition, which is part of the World Mental Health Week celebrations, will continue till Tuesday.
