Man murdered

Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: Disappointed at not being cured of his illness, Issar, attacked a quack and her husband at Yarab Nagar in Ramanagaram town of Bangalore Rural district on Friday.

According to the police, Issar was being treated by Sahina, the quack.

On Thursday night, Issar went to Sahina for "treatment." Angry over not getting any relief after a three-hour procedure, Issar attacked Sahina and her husband Mohammed Asif with a stick. Both were taken to hospital. While Asif died, Sahina is recovering. The police have arrested Issar.

Found dead

Amar Singh (50), an Indian Air Force personnel, who was guarding IAF's radar station, was found dead at Chimaney Hills on Hessarghatta Road on Friday. The police said Singh died after shooting himself.

Singh, who belongs to Defence Security Corps, was on morning duty.

He took his service rifle and shot himself. The sound of the fire alerted an IAF officer working at the radar station, who, in turn, informed the police. The police have found a suicide note written by Singh stating that nobody was responsible for his act.
