Consultation on `Children and HIV/AIDS'

COIMBATORE: Native Medicare Charitable Trust, a non-Governmental organisation based at Coimbatore will organise a national consultation on the issue, "Children and HIV/AIDS in India" at the Karl Kubel Institute for Development Education, Mankarai from October 12 to 14.

The Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment, Meira Kumar, will inaugurate the consultation.

Around 80 delegates from all over the country and abroad are expected to participate.

These would include HIV experts, doctors, lawyers, NGOs working in the field and resource persons.

Policy recommendations to enhance the quality of life of both infected and affected children would also be presented to the Government of India.
