Air Deccan `doubles' fares

BANGALORE: Air Deccan, for the first time in its history, announced the doubling of its fares. Passengers can now book Air Deccan tickets for travel between October 30, 2006 and March 25, 2007 for Rs. 6 (plus taxes). Bookings will open on October 8.

Capt. G.R Gopinath, Managing Director, Air Deccan said, "A few months back we celebrated our third anniversary by offering tickets at Rs. 3 and we are now giving another opportunity of affordable prices to our passengers by offering three lakh tickets at Rs. 6. This will encourage and enable many more people, especially first time fliers and rail passengers, to take to the skies. In the past, even during peak seasons and holidays we have boldly offered tickets for Re. 1 and Rs. 3 as well as a fly for free offer; which received tremendous public response."

For bookings log on to www.airdeccan.net or call the 24/7 all India call centre at 39008888 (prefix city code).
