Call to spread awareness on consumer law

    VIZIANAGARAM : President of the State Consumer Redressal Commission Justice I.V. Narayana has stressed the need to create awareness among people on the Consumer Protection Act in such a manner that a even a man in a remote village will know his rights and hailed the efforts of the district administration made in this regard.

    Addressing students, NGOs and other participants in a consumer awareness programme held here on Saturday, Justice Narayana said consumers could file cases if they experienced deficiency in service at no cost and argue cases on their own without taking assistance from a counsel. He said that majority of cases filed were related to chit funds and land dealings.
