Another Maoist leader gunned down

VISAKHAPATNAM: Maoists on the Andhra-Orissa Border Special Zone received a big blow with the killing of Kadari Ramulu, known as `Agency RK' for his resemblance to former State secretary of CPI (Maoist) Ramakrishna, in an encounter with the police near Gorlagondi village under the limits of Mampa police station in Koyyuru mandal in the district on Saturday.

According to Superintendent of Police J.G. Murali, another Maoist Sindri Giri, who was present at the encounter site, surrendered along with .303 rifle.

In a related development, the police arrested Pangi Hari, a Maoist, in GK Veedhi mandal during combing operation.
