PALAKKAD: Vazhur Vasudevan, 64, district secretary of the Progressive Writers' Forum and the former secretary of the Kunchan Nambiar Memorial at Killikurissimangalam, was killed in a car accident at Mankara, near here, on Saturday. He was a poet and literary activist of the Left movement in the State. Mr. Vasudevan was travelling in a car along with the former chairman of the Ottapalam municipality E. Ramachandran to attend a literary function when the accident occurred. Mr. Ramachandran was admitted to a private hospital in Palakkad town with serious injuries. Mr. Vasudevan is survived by three daughters.
