Eight wild birds rescued from a hut

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: Members of the People for Animals (PFA) on Saturday rescued eight wild birds from the clutches of bird catchers near Uppal.

Four grey partridges, two purple moorhens and two parakeets were rescued from a hut. PFA volunteers pointed out that they had also seized a large number of bird trapping cages from bird catchers who fled the scene on their arrival at the scene.

Member of the PFA Dattatreya Joshi said that the birds would be handed over to Nehru Zoological Park on Monday.
