Autorickshaw driver held on charge of raping girl

Accused allegedly assaulted girl for 6 months

HYDERABAD: The Chandrayanagutta police on Saturday arrested an autorickshaw driver Syed Asif Ali who had been allegedly sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl for the past six months.

The girl's father died a few years ago. Her mother was working as maid to support the family.

Ali used to live in a rented house at Narayanbagh and befriended the girl giving small amounts of money now and then. Six months ago, he lured the girl to his portion by offering money and allegedly raped her.

Since then, he had been sexually abusing the girl and threatened her of dire consequences if she revealed the matter to anyone.

The alleged sexual assault came to light on Friday when the girl complained to her mother.

A photo studio worker Mohd. Ahmed, 16, allegedly raped a 13-year-old girl in his house at Mallepally on Saturday. The victim is working as maid. She charged that Ahmed called her to his house saying he had some work with her and later sexually assaulted her.
