Hyderabad: Haj pilgrims from the State will embark on their consecrated journey, beginning December 6. There will be 26 flights in all, each carrying some 280 pilgrims. They will fly by Saudi Airlines from Hyderabad to Jeddah and the last flight will be on December 17. Pilgrims are required to make payment of Rs. 12,000 towards advance airfare through a demand draft drawn in favour of the Central Haj Committee payable at Mumbai. The pilgrims are also asked to pay the foreign exchange as per the category opted by them after deduction of Rs. 10,000 which was already paid at the time of submission of the Haj form. Pilgrims who have opted for the category I should pay foreign exchange of Rs. 66,536, category II Rs. 60,306, category III Rs. 53,453, Sheesha Rs. 53,453 and Aziziyah Rs. 45,977. For those who opted for the Hyderabad Rubath at Makkah Mukrramah exemption of Rs. 32,894 would be given while exemption of Rs. 29,156 would be given for Rubath at Makkah and Madina Munnawwarah. The bank drafts should be accompanied by a covering letter indicating the name, address and cover number of the pilgrims. The bank drafts of airfare and foreign exchange should reach the office of the Haj Committee of India, Mumbai, on or before November 7.
