New Delhi: Indians returned a haul of one gold, two silvers and one bronze medal in the World Masters powerlifting championship, which concluded at Killeen, U.S.A., on Saturday. Four of the five members of the Indian team managed to finish on the podium. In the above-40 section, Purna Chandra Bidhika won the gold in the 56kg category with an aggregate lift of 375kg, while Sanjay Sardesai clinched the bronze in the 125kg category with an aggregate lift of 717.5kg. In the above-50 class, Manohar W. Talekar won the 56kg silver with an aggregate lift of 310kg. H. Agnihotri finished second in the 125kg with an aggregate lift of 556kg. UNI
