BANGALORE: Undaunted by the "discouraging attitude" of some members of the Kannada Film Producers' Association, the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) has convened another meeting on Wednesday to discuss the problems in the production and exhibition sectors of the Kannada cinema industry. Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce president H.D. Gangaraj and vice-president S.A. Chinne Gowda told presspersons here on Saturday that the chamber was keen on sorting out all issues through consultation. Recently a non-Kannada film was released on a Wednesday instead of Friday. This had caused problems to a couple of Kannada films that were doing fairly good business, they said. They admitted that "Stalin", a Telugu film, was recently released in over 10 cinemas simultaneously through satellite screening technology in violation of the agreement between the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce and the association in 2005. According to the agreement, only six prints of any non-Kannada film should be screened only in 10 cinemas in the State simultaneously.
