KHAMMAM: A district-level task force started functioning here on Monday as one of the fever-related deaths was confirmed as a case of dengue. L. Rajani Kumari, a housewife, 35, from Bhadrachalam died of dengue, said officials of the Health department. Doctors also attributed the death of Guguloth Ramadevi, 22, a woman from Kothagudem, to dengue, though there was no clinical confirmation yet. In Bharavunipali village of Nelakondapali mandal, another woman died with symptoms of chikungunya. The administration has put the doctors of all public hospitals on high alert.
Eluru Staff Reporter writes: A suspected case of dengue was reported in Bhimavaram recently. The patient, hailing from 17th ward, has been put under medical observation.
