Kanshi Ram death condoled

CHENNAI: Governor Surjit Singh Barnala, Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi and All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam general secretary Jayalalithaa condoled the death of Kanshi Ram, Bahujan Samaj Party founder. Mr. Barnala described him as a "role model." Mr. Karunanidhi, said Kanshi Ram was a "very valiant fighter for the cause of social justice."

Ms. Jayalalithaa said it was under his leadership, that the BSP "rose from strength to strength."
