Prisoner on transit warrant against Gajurel

CHENNAI: The Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court here on Monday issued a prisoner on transit warrant against Nepalese Maoist leader Chandra Prakash Gajurel to enable the West Bengal police to take him to Kolkata.

Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Ayyasamy said he could be taken to West Bengal by a team headed by a Deputy Superintendent of Police on October 11. A vacation bench of the Madras High Court has already ruled that Mr. Gajurel be detained in Chennai till October 10.
