Two schoolboys drowned in well

VIJAYAWADA: Two children were drowned in a well at Shivapuram in Penuganchiprolu police station limits on Monday evening.

The police said Cherukuri Anil, 13, and Chirumamilla Manoj, 12, got down into the agriculture well to drink water and had a fatal slip.

The Penuganchiprolu police and the secretary of Machinenipalem, under which Shivapuram falls, rushed to the spot.

While Anil was studying at a school in Jaggaiahpet, Manoj was studying at a school in Hyderabad.

They were on a holiday visit to Shivapuram and their deaths plunged their family members and the village into grief.
