TECHNOLOGICAL EXCELLENCE: Antonio Capellini, Managing Director, Goodyear India, with the newly launched Excellence Series of tyres with 3-Zone Technology and ECO-Sil Silica Tread Compound Technology in New Delhi on Tuesday.
NEW DELHI: Goodyear India on Tuesday rolled out its latest `Excellence series' of tyres for the Indian Market. Antonio M. Capellini, Chairman and Managing Director of Goodyear India, told media persons here that the new tyres, to be sold in ten sizes, would feature the `3-Zone Technology' that provides security, performance and comfort. Initially, Mr. Capellini said, the company would be importing the `Excellence series' from China. The company was not averse to manufacturing these tyres in India. It would, however, depend on the demand and commercial viability, he added. With the premium tyres, the company is planning to target the high-end car segment. Apart from targeting the OEM segment, he said, the company would make available the tyres through its retail network. The company would initially hit radial tyre markets, including Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, and Chennai and then move to other major towns. The marketing would be done through outlets that have infrastructure to sell these high-end tyres.
