Rupee drops further

MUMBAI: The rupee declined further against the U.S. currency on Tuesday due to heavy dollar demand along with a sharp rise in dollar against the Japanese yen.

In a active trading at the interbank foreign exchange market, the Indian currency opened with overnight weakness at 45.7575/7625 and after falling further to a low of 45.8200, ended at 45.80/81, lower than the previous close of 45.72/73. — PTI
