Major reallocation of work among IAS officers

Chief Secretary given charge of Vigilance Department

PUDUCHERRY: In a major reallocation of works among IAS officers, Chief Secretary Pradip Mehra has been given the charge of Vigilance Department. In an order issued by Lt. Governor Mukut Mithi, the Chief Secretary would hold charge of Vigilance relieving B.V. Selvaraj.

In addition to Vigilance, Mr. Pradip Mehra would hold charge of Confidential and Cabinet Department, General Administration, Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms, Home (excluding Fire Service), Enforcement Cell, Administrative Reforms Wing, Departmental Inquiries and Freedom Fighters Cell.

Mr. B.V Selvaraj has been appointed as Development Commissioner and allocated the subjects of Education, Art and Culture, Planning and Research, Economics and Statistics and Agriculture relieving Pradip Mehra, D.C Sahoo and A. Anbarasu of these charges.

C.V.S Rama Rao has been appointed as Secretary to Government for Animal Husbandry and Animal Welfare and Fire Service departments relieving A.K Chaturvedi.

Mr. Chaturvedi has been appointed as Secretary to Government as Co-ordinating Secretary (Civic Elections), and for Local Administration, Finance, Commercial Taxes and Accounts, Treasuries departments relieving Pradip Mehra. A.C. Verma has been appointed as Secretary to Government for Transport, Town and Country planning, Housing, Power, Fisheries and Fishermen Welfare, Labour and Industries and Commerce departments relieving A.K Chaturvedi. A. Anbarasu has been appointed as Secretary to Government for Public Works, Co-operation, Tourism, Stationery and Printing, Information and Publicity, Science, Technology and Environment and Port relieving Pradip Mehra of these charges. T. M. Balakrishnan has been appointed as Secretary to Government for Social Welfare, Adi- Dravidar Welfare, Women and Child Development, Health, Revenue, Registration, Survey and Land Records, Excise, Temple Administration and Wakfs departments relieving Chaturvedi of these charges.

D. C. Sahoo has been appointed as Secretary to Government and allocated the subjects of Rural Development, Information Technology and Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs.
