Boy dies of dengue in West Bengal

KOLKATA: Dengue has claimed the life of a six-year-old boy in West Bengal's Bankura district.

The boy, hailing from the adjoining Purulia district, died at the Bankura Medical College and Hospital on Monday evening. He was admitted with fever the previous day, a hospital official told The Hindu on Tuesday.

The State health authorities have alerted the districts and instructed that all precautionary measures be taken.
