`Kerala most profitable circle of BSNL'

ALAPPUZHA: Kerala is the most profitable area of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited in the country, BSNL Kerala circle chief general manager S.A. Thomas said on Tuesday.

Distributing the Sanchar Seva Pathak and Sanchar Bharathi awards for BSNL employees in the Alappuzha telecom district for 2005-06 at a function here, Mr. Thomas said the revenue of the BSNL Kerala circle increased by 15 per cent during the period up to September this year compared to the corresponding period last year. Mr. Thomas distributed Sanchar Seva Pathak awards to P.P. Pavithran and Thomas Issac and Sanchar Sarathy awards to Balagangadhara Menon and M.G. Kesava Pillai.
