DREAM COME TRUE: A student of Viveka School of Excellence skating on the newly inaugurated skating rink at Saragur near Mysore.
MYSORE: It is a dream come true for hundreds of children in the tribal-dominated Heggada Devana Kote taluk near here. For, the first a skating rink in a rural area in Karnataka was inaugurated at Saragur, a remote village, on Tuesday. Hundreds of schoolchildren in and around Saragur now have their own rink for practice and can enjoy the sport that they could only watch on television until now. Offering his expertise in the sport, the Ekalavya award winner K. Srikantha Rao of Vishwamitra Roller Skating Club was present at Viveka School of Excellence to inaugurate the rink. Another rink is to be inaugurated at Viveka Tribal Centre for Learning at Hosahalli .
