`Cases against agitators will be concluded soon'

Meeting reviews law and order situation in district


  • Special public prosecutors may be appointed to try the cases
  • District administration advised to use the Goonda Act effectively

    MANGALORE: Subash Bharani, Additional Director-General of Police (Crime) convened a meeting of top policemen of the district to review the law and order situation in Dakshina Kannada at the district police office here on Monday.

    He told The Hindu that the meeting discussed in detail the developments in the district since Thursday. He said the department would ensure that cases booked against various people across the district would be concluded.
