Water adalat

The Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board will conduct a water adalat on Wednesday from 9.30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the office of the Assistant Executive Engineer in High Grounds. People staying near and in H.G.R. and Coles Park can attend the adalat and present their grievances. For details call 22945187.

Results

Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences has released the results of I MBBS (RS 2 batch) and Final MBBS II (RS batch) examinations conducted during August/September. Details such as marks secured in each subject, class and names of colleges are available on the website www.rguhs.ac.in

Radio programme

All India radio's FM Rainbow 101.3 channel will air a live programme with Regional passport Officer Kumaran on October 11 from 6 to 7 p.m. Enquiries regarding passports can be sent through SMS on 99457 03320.

Date extended

Following instructions from Karnataka Housing Board, Syndicate Bank has extended the last date for accepting application for sites, houses and flats at Surynagar Electronics City and Kengeri Bandemutt to October 18.

Planetarium timings

Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium is reverting to the normal schedule of shows from October 11. On weekdays there will special sky-theatre shows at 10.30 a.m., 11.30 a.m. and 12.30 p.m. Shows with admission fee of Rs. 25 will be at 3 p.m. in Kannada and at 4.30 p.m. in English. On Sundays the Kannada shows will be at 11.30 a.m. and 3 p.m. and English shows at 12.45 and 4.30 p.m.

Objections invited

The Bangalore Mahanagara Palike has invited objections from the public to the resolution that it had passed in its council to change the name of the city from Bangalore to Bengaluru. The public have thirty days from the publication of this notice to send their objections addressed to the BMP Commissioner.

Enrolment

Candidates who want to appear for the second pre-university March- April 2007 examination as private candidates can enrol their names in the nearest Government P.U. Colleges on or before November 15 without penalty. Candidates can enrol with penalty up to November 30. For details candidates can contact principals of government pre-university colleges.

Foundation Day

Indian Institute of Horticultural Research, Bangalore, will observe the Foundation Day of the Food and Agricultural Organisation (FAO) on October 16 which is also World Food Day. This year's theme for the day is "Investing in agriculture for food security."
