BANGALORE: Three persons, including two students, were killed in different accidents reported in the city on Monday. An 18-year-old BCA student, Edward Solaman, was killed when his motorcycle was hit by a Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation bus in Bagalur Layout. The incident occurred when Solaman, a student of Kristo Jayanti College, was returning to his house in HBR Layout in the night. Fourteen-year-old Darshan was killed when the scooter in which he was riding pillion was hit by a lorry near Palanahalli gate in Yelahanka Traffic Police Station limits. The scooter was driven by Darshan's uncle, Shivanna, who survived with minor injuries. Darshan, a resident of Yelahanka Sector A, was studying in 7th standard in Poornapragnya School, the Yelahanka traffic police said. A 40-year-old man was killed when he was hit by a lorry near Kudli gate on Hosur Road. The Madiwala traffic police are yet to identity the victim.
Robbed
A four-member gang robbed two employees of a petrol bunk run by a multinational company of Rs. 7,000 in cash on M.S. Ramaiah Layout Service Road on Monday night. The police said K. Gangadhar and his friend Sudhakar, employees of Shell petrol bunk, were returning after finishing their work at around 1 a.m. Gangadhar was carrying Rs. 6,500, while Sudhakar had Rs. 500. When both were walking down the service road, four people waylaid them. One of the offenders brandished a knife and cut Gangadhar's chest and Sudhakar's hands. The miscreants threatened the two and went away with the cash.
