NEW DELHI: Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Tuesday inaugurated a new hospital of the Metro Group of Hospitals & Heart Institutes at the Patel Road-Naraina Road junction near Shadipur Metro station in West Delhi. The new multi-speciality hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities in all major specialities and super-specialities such as pulmonology, orthopaedics including joint replacement surgery in addition to general surgery, internal medicine, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology. Lauding the efforts of the Metro Group in taking medical care to large parts of the city, Ms. Dikshit said the need of the hour was not huge hospitals which can serve only the rich but smaller hospitals spread out all over the city which can meet the medical needs of the masses. The departments of RLKC Hospital and Metro Heart Institute are supported by a modern diagnostic lab, cardiac OT and CCU with the latest high-end equipments.
