Tech27 Systems develops software for ONGC
Staff Reporter
Kozhikode:
Kozhikode-based Tech27 Systems has successfully implemented a custom-built application at the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) Mumbai offices.
It is a breakthrough for the company, which after four years of software exports, mainly to Europe, succeeded in entering the IT market in the country.
R. Jaysankar Nair, Quality Assurance Manager, said the company had developed the software for Rigmove Cell, the nodal agency in the drilling services of Mumbai region and related activities of the ONGC-owned and charter-hired rigs. The newly developed software, launched by U.N. Bose, Director (T&FS), ONGC, in September would help to identify the marks of different rigs touching a platform on the screen at the click of a mouse.
This software also helps to decide the distance of the rig from the edge of the platform.
This innovative, client-server based software would integrate all the data and details saved in different registers with a single database at a single source, which can be accessed by all the persons concerned related with Rigmove activities, he said.
