NEW DELHI: Ravi Jaipuria group company RJ Corp on Wednesday joined hands with Disney Consumer Products (DCP), a Walt Disney group company, for retailing of `Disney Artist' brand merchandise in India. RJ Corp will set up 150 exclusive Disney Artist brand stores and become the master franchisee of DCP. "This tie-up is one of our efforts to expand the scope into the kid-led family business, leveraging on a brand like Disney,'' RJ Corp Chairman Ravi Jaipuria told reporters here.
Exclusive licensee
The group will also be the exclusive licensee to source and market arts and crafts merchandise under the `Disney Artist' brand for wholesale in India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Maldives. He said the company would initially set up five Disney Artist brand of stores in Delhi and Mumbai. The exclusive Disney Artist stores will sell a variety of products, including greeting cards, stationery, arts and crafts and party products.
