CII-Yi conference on lean manufacturing

COIMBATORE: The Confederation of Indian Industry, Coimbatore Zone, and Young Indians (Coimbatore chapter) will organise here a seminar on "Lean manufacturing-roadmap for SMEs to achieve global manufacturing excellence" on October 13. According to Jayakumar Ramdass, Chairman of CII, Coimbatore, one of the key challenges faced by the companies here is lack of trained manpower. The manufacturing sector has to look at various ways to reduce cost and improve productivity. About 150 delegates are expected to attend the seminar. For details, contact: (0422) 4351613/2218410.
