MANGALORE: A police team headed by Harsha P.S., Assistant Superintendent of Police, Puttur sub-division, has arrested 12 persons in connection with the assault on nine persons travelling by an ambulance to Bajpe airport at Punchame under Bantwal Rural police station limits on Saturday. While one person died in the incident, five others sustained grievous injuries. Dr. Harsha told The Hindu here on Wednesday that the accused were nabbed late on Tuesday. The accused, who were produced before the jurisdictional court, have been remanded to judicial custody till October 21.
