Mukut Mithi hosts Iftar party at Raj Nivas

COMMUNAL AMITY: Lt. Governor Mukut Mithi, Chief Minister N. Rangasamy, M. Ramadoss MP and others participate in an Iftar party at Raj Navas in Puducherry on Wednesday.

Puducherry : Lt. Governor of the Union Territory Mukut Mithi hosted an Iftar party on Wednesday on the premises of Raj Nivas. The function lasted for nearly one-and half-hours. Chief Minister N. Rangasamy, his Cabinet colleagues, the Paatali Makkal Katchi Parliamentary Party leader M. Ramadoss, the Leader of the Opposition, A.M.H. Nazeem (DMK), the AIADMK legislators A. Anbalagan and Ohm Shakthi Segar, the PMC Legislature Party leader K. Lakshminarayanan and his party MLA "Bussy' N. Anandh, the Parliamentary Secretary to Chief Minister A. Namassivayam, the Independent member J. Narayanasamy, Chief Secretary Pradip Mehra, the senior ranking officials and police officials were among those who participated in the party.

Prayers

Prayers were held and an official source said the solemn function was marked by partaking in the Iftar feast by all those present. One could see the holding of the Iftar in keeping with the traditional and ritualistic features at the Raj Nivas, which is office cum residence of the Lt. Governor.

Delegates of various organisations also attended the Iftar programme.
