HYDERABAD: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials arrested police Circle Inspector of Kovur in Nellore district, C. Vijay Bhaskar Rao, on charge of accepting Rs. 2,500 bribe from a person two days ago.
He was produced before a special court at Nellore on Wednesday, according to a press release. The complainant was a recreation club treasurer.
One year RI for official
A special court of Nellore sentenced the Regional Deputy Director of Indian Medicines and Homeopathy department working at Kadapa, G.S. Subrahmanya Sastry, to undergo one-year rigorous imprisonment in a corruption case.
He was arrested seven years ago on charge of receiving Rs. 1,000 bribe from a subordinate.
Sentenced to jail
A special court at Hyderabad sentenced secretary of Kaki village panchayat in Anantapur district, M.V. Ramana Murthy, to one-year rigorous imprisonment in a corruption case.
The Anti-Corruption Bureau officials trapped him earlier when he accepted Rs. 1,000 bribe from a person.
